Biography:
My name is Mike DeMilia. I am currently in my 17th year in education and my 14th as a full-time teacher. Jefferson City has been home for my family for 6 years. My beautiful wife's name is Mendy. We have 3 kids: Easton, Nolan and Claire. I grew up in Omaha, NE, where I graduated from Millard South High School in 1993. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education & Health Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1999. Then, I received my Master's Degree in Health & Human Performance from Oklahoma State University in 2001. I was an athletic trainer for the baseball and football teams at Oklahoma State University.
After graduation, I spent 4 years as a teacher at Omaha Central High where I was the athletic trainer as well as an assistant coach in football, girl's basketball and baseball. From there, I moved to Omaha Bryan High School where I taught for 6 years. While at Bryan, I was the head baseball coach and assistant wrestling & football coach. In the summer of 2012, my family and I moved to Macon, MO. I was Truman State University's Assistant Baseball Coach for the three years that we lived there. During that time, I also substituted in the Macon Public Schools and was a teacher at the Bruce Normile Juvenile Justice Center in Kirksville, MO.
In the summer of 2014, I was hired as Lincoln University's Head Baseball Coach. I spent two years there before moving to Blair Oaks. I currently teach PE and Health at Blair Oaks School District. In 2017-2018, I became Blair Oaks' Head Wrestling Coach after assisting under Coach Tim Karsten. That same year, I became Blair Oaks' Head Baseball Coach. During my time at Blair Oaks, we have had several wrestlers place at state, and our baseball team won the state title in 2019. In the summertime, I am the Jefferson City Renegades Head Baseball Coach. The Renegades are a collegiate summer baseball team.
